Adiee's Birthday!

Well, our sweet little girl turned 7! And on a VERY busy weekend nonetheless! We just got the keys to our new house just 2 days before, so we were still smack dab in the middle of moving (oh, and the next day? Easter! No big deal, ugh!) Not only that, but our best family friends ever, they moved this weekend also... from Rawlins to a house only 5 blocks away from us (Unintentionally!! Can you believe that?! We couldn't have planned it better if we tried - well unless they could have moved next door, haha!). How's that for coincidence?!
We took a break from all that packing, lifting, moving, and cleaning to celebrate our beautiful Adiee! We told her she could pick which restaurant we went to for dinner, and it was no surprise when she picked Chuck E Cheese. We were there for a couple hours, playing games and eating pizza; then came home sang "Happy Birthday", ate cake, and the best part... opened presents!
One of Adiee's best friends from school, Rachel (who also lived next door to us in Kaysville - boy are we going to miss them! They are such wonderful people!) turns 7 just 2 weeks after Adiee did. I had so much on my plate all at once, when her mom suggested that we do a joint birthday party with friends at her house I jumped on it immediately. I'm so grateful, it helped lighten the load immensely - party planning was going to be split in half! Adiee and Rachel had 6 friends besides themselves and their siblings. We made pancakes with all the fixins (that you normally don't get on just any pancake morning, ha!) Chocolate syrup, fruit, sprinkles, whipped cream, etc... Then the kiddos played a variation of "pin the tail on the donkey" - but with Disney's Brave and arrows. They jumped on the trampoline, opened presents, and ended up watching a movie as we waited for parents to gather their children. It was so much fun! Thank you Chad and Jeri for such a wonderful idea! A shared birthday party that I hope those two will remember forever!
